At 9.0% alc/vol this wine is 25% naturally lighter in alcohol compared to our standard Giesen Pinot Gris.
Pinot Gris fruit was sourced from a single vineyard in the Awatere Valley in Marlborough. This vineyard has a stoney soil profile that allows drainage which helps with early flavour development in the fruit and slower ripening because of cooler nights. This helps retain freshness and vibrancy in the fruit, while staying low in sugar content.
